Community Action Groups (CAGs) all have their own unique way of promoting carbon reduction, by reuse, reduce and recycling.

Each of them run various activities, including: holding swap shops, some collect non kerbside recycling at their events and also test electrical equipment for future use. They produce local recycling directories; hold art workshop; help set up community composting facilities or facilitate extra collection of green waste; produce and promoting the use of ‘bags for life’; organising for local residents to take part in a litter pick. They are working in partnerships with other organisations, like churches, WIs, schools and other local groups to help aid an understanding of the problems of living a more sustainable life and some of the solutions… the list goes on!
