Oxfordshire Chilterns Community Action formed in April 2011.
The aim of OCCA is to initiate and facilitate projects in Watlington and surrounding villages which make best use of local resources, save energy, reduce waste and encourage the re-use, repair and re-cycling of materials.
Current projects include the publication and local distribution of a leaflet giving guidance on re-cycling with tips on reducing waste. A swap shop is planned for November and there are several projects in the pipeline for 2012 including a leaflet promoting local produce and services and a 'Repair it' day.
