Aims and objectives of the group
KvsCC meets on the first Tuesday of the month at The Squire Bassett (Oxford Road, Kidlington)(formerly the Dogwood pub) in Kidlington. Anyone can come along and see what we do. Membership is free, and members can be as active or passive as they choose.
KvsCC aims to:
· raise awareness of climate change, its causes and what we can all do about it, in Kidlington and the surrounding area;
· bring people in the Kidlington area to the point of willingly deciding to take action on climate change - in their lives, their places of work and/or in the wider community.

Founded by Anthony Simpson in July 2007. KvsCC has held a number of successful events, including:
· stands at the Kidlington Gala,
· a showing of "An Inconvenient Truth" at Exeter Hall, Kidlington.
· Organising the first Kidlington Sustainability Fair (13 June 2009) with 20 stands and around 250 visitors; and an even bigger event in 2010.
- · Gatherings at the Dogwood. The first gathering was in early November 2007.
· Regular articles published in the local newsletter Kidlington News;
· Links with Climate Exchange, Cherwell District Council, Kidlington Voice, Midcounties Co-operative Society - 5 members of KvsCC attended "The Big Climate Event" at the Oxford Town Hall on 7th November;
· Scout Troop Night: with nearly 40 scouts, with quizzes and activities to raise/test awareness about food, energy, heating, transport and consuming stuff!
· Age of Stupid" film night - for which we had a sell-out of 250 tickets, and Q&A with our MP Dr Evan Harris, as well as Chris Goodall & Oliver Tickel.
Group member Steve Gerrish organised a workshop event for 50 people in Kidlington called "Climate Change Condensed".
