Annual Harvest Festival. Two of the events taking place include The Great Fruit and Veg Swap, and the Winter Veg Plant Swap. Bring along your excess fruit and vegetables, jams or winter plants, and swap them for something you don't have. Don't worry if you don't have anything to swap, come along and pick up something new to try!
We will also have an apple juicer available to make apple juice!
Whether you garden at home, on an allotment, or have access to fruit growing in hedgerows, come and take part in the garden's Harvest Festival activities.
11am-2pm: Bring your abundant fruit and veg along to the garden and put it on the Fruit and Veg swap table.

The Great Fruit and Veg swap
Like a plant swap, but instead people bring along the fruit and veg they have in abundance and swap it for something they don't have.
For example: you might have lots of courgettes, but not many french beans, where someone else might have lots of french beans but didn't have any luck with growing courgettes this year.
or...
You may have lots of apples on your apple tree, or access to lots of blackberries near where you live or on your allotment, and you could bring these along and swap them for something you don't have.
You can also bring along jams and chutneys you have made and can swap them for fruit and vegetables.
The Winter Veg Plant Swap
There is still time to plant vegetables to harvest over winter! Again, like a normal plant swap, at the Winter Veg Plant Swap, you can bring along some young veg plants you have too many of, and swap them for ones you don't have and would like to grow. If you don't have any plants to swap, no matter, come and pick up something you would like to try.
For example: Spinach, Kale, Garlic & Chard can all be planted in early autumn and harvested over winter.
