Description

On behalf of Dogwoof, a film distributor specialising in social-issue and environmental documentaries. Previous titles include Age of Stupid, Burma VJ and Food, Inc.

We are now preparing for our next release, the documentary No Impact Man. It follows well-known American environmentalist and blogger Colin Beaven and his family as they embark on a year living with absolutely no impact in a Manhattan. This means no cars, no fridges, no TV and no Starbucks. Here is the trailer:

The film shares the message that lowering consumption and increasing sustainability can enrich one's life rather than sacrificing comfort. It also highlights the need for community action and the importance of sourcing produce locally.

The film is showing at Oxford Picturehouse part of a simultaneous, nationwide screening on September 7th . Following the screening we are inviting people to take part in Q&A sessions which will give audiences the opportunity to direct questions about how to lower ones impact to experts as well as incentivise them into taking action in their local area.
