Community Action Groups (CAGs)

Community Action Groups, CAGs is a network of local voluntary groups in Oxfordshire. They organise events and initiatives to raise awareness and take action on climate change issues including waste reduction, promoting the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle), carbon reduction, sustainable transport, and food, energy and water issues to live a more sustainable and less resource dependent life in their local community.

"It's no use use just talking about the problem you need to get up and do something about it!" and that's what Community Action Groups do. For one example of what a CAG can do visit Dorchester Carbon Project has achieved Defra's 'Zero Waste Places Standard'.

The CAG support team provides hands-on, day to day help and advice for groups.
