New Defra survey on community energy projects

Defra, the Government's department for the environment, food and rural affairs, is undertaking a survey of community energy projects.

A team of researchers at the University of Sussex and University of East Anglia are studying how community energy can spread and grow, through the Community Innovation for Sustainable Energy project.

The researchers are inviting people involved in community energy to take part in an online survey of community energy projects, to help inform recommendations to government on how to best support projects like these.

The survey is open to anyone working at community level to change energy-related behaviour, raise awareness about energy consumption, increase energy efficiency, or generate sustainable renewable energy.

The survey should take only 15-20 minutes and is available at: www.surveymonkey.com/s/sustainableCommunityEnergy

Results will be shared through the project website or emailed directly to participants if they choose.
