Between November 19 and 27, the European Week of Waste Reduction (EWWR) aims to demonstrate to people all over Europe about the simple actions that they can take in everyday life to help contribute to waste reduction efforts. In 2010 over 4,300 actions were taken across 22 European countries, including four workshops in Oxfordshire run by Community Action Groups.
This year CAGs are hosting five sessions run by local trainers, engaging their communities with workshops based around how to reduce waste and save money over the Christmas period. Thanks to Oxfordshire County Council the sessions are completely free to the public.
With so much to think about leading up to Christmas, these workshops offer a chance to waste less, spend less and learn skills which can be used year after year. See the full schedule below, and click on each workshop to find out more.
