EQUIPMENT FOR HIRE

We always promote sharing, borrowing and hiring over buying new and there are some great local options for doing this. Follow the links in orange for equipment that can help you with running your group. You can always contact CAG staff for specific queries and 1:1 advice where needed. Please email us on info@cagoxfordshire.org.uk in the first instance.

Electric Van for Hire

Oxford City Council have an electric van for hire for use by community groups. The van lives at Rose Hill Community Centre and is hired out to community groups, charities and good causes for:

Electric Cargo Bike Hire

Low Carbon West Oxford have recently purchased an electric cargo bike for use by the community. 

A booking system will be available shortly. In the meantime conatct info@lcwo.org.uk

Libraries of Things

There are several CAGs that run Libraries of things where you can borrow/hire items fo events and projects rather than buying new. items include (but there are many more): 

  • Hosting supplies eg: glasses, plates, crockery, large cooking pots, portable stovetops

  • Party supplies eg: bunting, gazebos, lights, sound equipment 

  • Project resources eg: thermal imaging cameras, PAT testers

  • Gardening supplies eg: strimmers, jet washers, tools

  • Plus tools, sewing machines,camping stuff, festival trolleys and cargo bikes and event the infamous smoothie bike!

CAG can financial offer support to borrow certain items so do check with us first.
