We are a women's community group giving women who have been affected by conflict an opportunity to process their experiences and tell their stories through art. The project was created to capture Iraqi women's oral history of the wars and to keep their cultural identity alive. The project has now expanded to include women from other countries affected by war, empowering them to share their unique skills via art, food, fashion, and social events. We also provide an opportunity for members to connect with each other and help with access to services, improving English language skills, and any other needs. IWAW welcomes all women from refugee and migrant backgrounds.
