FOOD, WASTE, BIODIVERSITY, EDUCATION

Northway Together run:

1. Weekly Wednesday Community Kitchen and Cafe. Providing voluntary involvement in providing freshly cooked nutritious meals free of charge to local residents in need. In cafe and takeaway meals provided for users who are mainly elderly, families with small children, people struggling on low incomes and isolated individuals benefiting from a safe social space.

2. Thursday, weekly food bag distribution service to local residents in need. Food and provisions delivered by Oxford Food Hub.

3. Monthly Sunday afternoon community gardening, art and recreation group. Held in the Northway Community Centre and its surrounding patio and garden space.

Focus in all three projects is creating a space for combined volunteer and beneficiary involvement. Social interaction between isolated ethnic, cultural and racial groups. Social and cultural exchange.
