The national Refill scheme is starting up in Oxford! We want to reduce the use of single-use plastic water bottles by creating a network of Refill ‘stations’ across the city to make it easy for people to refill their water bottle, rather than buying a new one.

Local cafes, bars, restuarants, pubs, museums and galleries that join the Refill scheme get a blue Refill sticker on their window and are plotted on the Refill app. We’ve got nearly 40 places signed up to the scheme so far including chains like Costa Coffee, Fuller’s John Lewis, and Neal’s Yard as well as independents such as the Turl Street Kitchen, Yellow Submarine, the Victoria Arms and the Folly.

The Refill Oxford scheme is supported by Oxford City Council, WRAP, Friends of the Earth Oxford and The Community Action Group Project as well as many individuals including local MPs, councillors, the Lord Mayor and Lord-Lieutenant.

If you are interested in volunteering for the scheme or you want to register your business as a Refill station, email us on refill.oxford@gmail.com
