Food surplus

Witney Food Revolution is a 100% volunteer-powered community organisation working to reduce food waste and support local people. We rescue good surplus food from supermarkets, restaurants, shops, wholesalers, manufacturers and other sources, keeping it out of landfill and putting it back into the community.

Our Witney Community Fridge is free and open to everyone, with surplus food available Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, 10am–12pm.

The Witney Larder provides members with access to a wider range of surplus food from a national network of supermarkets, manufacturers, brands and chains. Membership is £4.50 per week and the Larder is open Wednesdays, 3–7pm.

Our Witney Seniors’ Café is a free, friendly club offering older people an opportunity to enjoy tea, company and a welcoming space to meet others. It runs every other Monday, 1–3pm.

Witney Food Revolution currently welcomes 35,000+ visits each year, saves around 160 tonnes of food from landfill, and works with 80 volunteers across approximately 2,400 food collections and 200 community openings every year.

Everyone is welcome! Come along, discover what we do, enjoy some surplus food, meet your community and find out how you can get involved.
