We are thrilled to share the latest annual report from the Community Action Groups Network in Oxfordshire.

Every year, we collect data from the network on the events and activities they have delivered, the volunteers, the number of people who attended or engaged, and the impact that this has had.

It never fails to amaze us how every year, groups and individuals continue to show up for their communities and for the planet.

We love sharing how the collective effort and enthusiasm have such a big impact on our communities, both locally and globally.

Over the past year, groups in the CAG network hosted nearly 8,000 events and activities promoting sustainability and bringing people together to take action. These events attracted around 80,000 attendees. That's more than 10% of the whole population of Oxfordshire.

More than 16,000 volunteers recorded over 87,000 volunteering hours for 25-26, demonstrating the continued dedication of residents to contribute their time and energy to community action within Oxfordshire.

These activities resulted in approximately 1,924 tonnes of non-food waste being diverted (including 1,742 tonnes of wood via Oxford Wood Recycling) and 48 tonnes of food diverted from waste to be redistributed, cooked, eaten or processed, preventing 120 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
