Thanks to funds from Oxfordshire County Council, The Big Give Trust, and CAG individual donors, we are able to support community groups around the county to put on events for Great Big Green Week.
The Oxfordshire Great Big Green Week small grants programme supports community groups to organise local events, activities and festivals during the Great Big Green Week 2023. These should engage the local community and celebrate action and progress being made on climate change.
We want to support activities and events that empower local groups to create new connections and raise awareness in order to support new people, local businesses and organisations to take climate action.
Types of Grants
A limited number of grants of £200 are available, up to the value of £5,000. Of this funding, we have £3,000 reserved for projects that create or enhance community connections to nature and thus, we encourage projects that support interactions with blue and green spaces, the natural environment, etc. We are thinking about ‘connections to nature’ in a very broad sense, so don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have an idea that you think might fit.
Your Event or Activity
Must take place during Big Green Week (10 June - 18 June)
Event / Activity must be registered on Register your event - Oxfordshire Great Big Green Week (greenweekoxon.co.uk) and on Log In - Great Big Green Week
As we have two pots of funding supporting these grants, some projects will also be required to:
Credit that it is ‘Supported by Oxfordshire County Council’
Incorporate logo and strapline of Climate Action Oxfordshire on publicity
Use #ClimateActionOxfordshire tag in any social activity
Share at least one photo of the event that can be used in future promotion of the event (with proper permissions already secured) by Oxfordshire County Council. OCC will provide appropriate credit.
