We are delighted to be supporting groups once again in putting on events and activities for Food Waste Action Week (9-13th March) and Great Big Green Week (6-14th June).
We are delighted to collaborate once more with Oxfordshire County Council and the Climate Action Oxfordshire website to support two important awareness weeks in 2026. These weeks have the potential to create a big impact on our climate action efforts by providing enjoyable and engaging ways to educate and involve the public in reducing food waste and addressing broader environmental issues.
Jump to the grants most relevant to your group. You can apply for both programmes if your group can put on events during both weeks.
Replenish Oxfordshire’s Food Waste Action Week Grants

The Replenish Oxfordshire’s small grants programme supports community groups to organise local events, workshops and activities during Food Waste Action Week (FWAW), 9-13 March 2026. These should highlight the issue of food waste and engage and support the local community to reduce their household food waste.
The 2026 theme has not been announced yet, but here are some examples of
events from previous years to inspire you:
zero waste chop & chats
cooking from scratch or one-pot cookery workshops
cooking with seasonal surplus events
talks and demonstrations around reducing household food waste
Grants of £200 are available for activities taking place during FWAW. We are particularly encouraging groups who are ‘new’ to FWAW to apply.
Deadline to apply: 9th February 2026
Great Big Green Week Grants
The Oxfordshire Great Big Green Week (GBGW) small grants programme supports community groups to organise local events, activities and festivals during the Great Big Green Week, 6-14 June 2026. These should engage the local community and celebrate action and progress being made on climate change.
We want to support activities and events that empower local groups to create new connections and raise awareness in order to support new people, local businesses and organisations to take climate action.
Grants of £200 are available for activities taking place during GBGW. We are particularly encouraging groups who are ‘new’ to GBGW to apply. If you would like to plan a series of events that build off one another and can ‘extend’ your GBGW activities as a week or month-long celebration, you can apply for a grant of up to £500.
We would like to particularly emphasise the importance of creating social connections, which can build resilient communities, through these activities.
Deadline to apply: 6th March 2025
