Great Big Green Week is a national campaign run by The Climate Coalition which encourages nine days of action (this year from 6th-14th June) to raise awareness of climate change and demonstrate how community-led action can make a difference.

This is the seventh year that Oxfordshire has thrown itself into the campaign and the response from communities right across the County has been inspiring. More events every week are being added to our dedicated events calendar as well as information on the Mycelium Map and the national events guide hosted by The Climate Coalition on their Great Big Green Week Website.

This year’s programme is packed with loads of unique events—from bug hunts and fashion shows to garden tours and film screenings. With support from Oxfordshire County Council and money raised via the Earth Raise campaign, we have been able to support over 30 groups with small grants totalling over £11,500.

Whether you are a seasoned environmentalist or just starting your journey, there is something for everyone. Here is a guide to the incredible activities happening across the county. New events, dates, times and locations are being updated regularly, so keep checking back on our Great Big Green Week page.
