OUR MEMBERS
Our member groups span the county and work on a wide variety of issues. They welcome new volunteers and offer an easily accessible way of getting involved in climate action whether your interest lies in biodiversity, waste reduction, food surplus, community cohesion, lowe carbon or active transport. To find a group near you take a look at our map and listings below.
We also produce a District Factsheet for each Oxfordshire district which shows all the CAGs in the area and ideas for local action.
If you’d like to get involved in some way, you’ll find all their information and contact details on their pages.
The Mycelium Map connects people in their local communities to take action on climate change. It provides a comprehensive mapping and listing of local climate action groups in the Chiltern area, from small neighbourhood initiatives to large-scale organisations. With the Mycelium Map, you can find the groups closest to you, learn more about their activities and join their efforts to tackle the climate-nature crisis.
This version of the map just shows CAG member groups. To see more groups and organisations beyond our network, click on the map banner to be taken to the full map in a new tab.

MAKESPACE OXFORD CIC
Community hub
Makespace Oxford is building new kinds of working and making space. We take Oxfordshire's once empty and underused buildings and revive, repurpose and transform them into affordable, community-driven workspaces. We create light-filled, modern work environments with all the facilities needed for organisations to thrive. At our heart, we want to nurture and grow spaces for connection and support between social enterprises, charities and creative makers committed to positive social and environmental change.
At the beginning of 2021 we launched the Meanwhile in Oxfordshire programme, an Oxfordshire County Council funded programme with a remit to open up to 50 new meanwhile (temporary use) spaces across the county over the next year. We have already had lots of interest from local community groups, charities, non-profits, retail businesses and cafes. We are committed to doing what we can to support organizations that have social, environmental and cultural impact in the local area.
